Muralist Bayne Gardner Makes New Downtown Mural

A new art piece has flown into the downtown Eugene RDG offices

The scene is painted with a fierce flag-flying sparrow standing tall and victorious over his tentacled foe. Muralist Bayne Gardner, whose vibrant works beautify otherwise mundane spaces throughout the Eugene Valley, was commissioned to bring this creative marketing agency’s vision to life. With more than a decade in business as a design and branding agency, RDG sees this addition of art as a representation of the future, and an opportunity to continue forging ahead after a long and steady post-COVID climb.

“Having our headquarters in downtown Eugene is an important piece of inspiration for us as designers and creatives,” said RDG Founder and Co-owner Jennifer Revoal. “After more than 14 years in business, this feels like a decisive moment for our team to celebrate the next chapter. We strive to stay inspired and create beautiful, quality work. This mural is indicative of that mission for us all, from interns to owners.”

Spotted inside Hayward Field, outside Autzen Stadium, at Pape Field, and more, Gardner’s prolific use of nature-inspired colors and shapes ranges from flowers and fish to Tracktown USA icons. A sparrow, known for their persistence, resourcefulness, and intelligence, now joins his collection.
